Tre Donaldson

Tre Donaldson is a versatile and dynamic collegiate guard making a strong impact for the University of Miami Hurricanes in the ACC. Known for his relentless energy, pace control, and ability to dictate the flow of a game, Donaldson has established himself as one of the conference’s most reliable and experienced backcourt leaders. His toughness, court awareness, and playmaking continue to elevate Miami as it competes for postseason success.

A Tallahassee native, Donaldson was an elite multisport athlete at Florida State University School, excelling in both basketball and football. A four-star football prospect at quarterback and defensive back, he brought that physicality and competitiveness to the basketball court, where he led his high school to a state championship and earned Florida Dairy Farmers Association Player of the Year honors. His senior season showcased a complete two-way profile, combining scoring, rebounding, playmaking, and high-level defense.

Donaldson began his college career at Auburn, providing key minutes as a freshman and earning national attention during the NCAA Tournament. He took a major step forward as a sophomore, starting games and growing into a trusted playmaker. After transferring to Michigan, he fully broke out as the Wolverines’ starting point guard, delivering career-best production, multiple 20-point performances, and clutch late-game moments during a Big Ten Tournament run.

Now a senior at Miami, Donaldson brings veteran leadership, aggressive downhill play, improved shooting, and strong point-of-attack defense. Off the court, he’s known for his leadership, strong family foundation, and commitment to giving back. With experience across three major programs, Donaldson enters his final season as one of the ACC’s most respected and impactful guards.
